This fish doesn't take pleasure in swimming in smaller aquariums, it needs at least 1000 liter to feel good. Keep your salinity within 1.021-1.025 (at 25°C) and temperature between 23-27°C. The Japanese Surgeonfish likes to eat artemia, big frozen food, clam meat, flakes, krill, mysis, nori and seaweed.
