Moderate This fish is considered a moderately difficult one. Read well into how to care for this fish and which tank mates it needs, so you can take good care of it. This fish doesn't take pleasure in swimming in smaller aquariums, it needs at least 750 liter to feel good. Keep your salinity within 1.022-1.025 (at 25°C) and temperature between 22-27°C. It seems the Butterfly Scorpionfish is a picky eater, it only eats shrimp and small fish.
This fish is reefsafe with caution. There is a risk involved in introducing it to your corals. Read about the experiences of other hobbyists and make up your own mind about taking that risk. Don't say we didn't warn you!
We consider the Butterfly Scorpionfish to be a semi-aggressive fish. Be careful when introducing it to your less (or more) aggressive fish. It is, however, not a fish that will be the terror of your tank.
