Difficult There are easy fish, tricky fish and then there's this fish: a difficult one. Don't feel like you're that special girl or guy that can just put it in your aquarium. Read up on it! Place this fish in a tank of at least 500 liter to make it at home. Keep your salinity within 1.022-1.027 (at 25°C) and temperature between 24-28°C. The Iris Wrasse likes to eat artemia, big frozen food, flakes, krill, mysis, worms and zooplankton.
This fish is reefsafe with caution. There is a risk involved in introducing it to your corals. Read about the experiences of other hobbyists and make up your own mind about taking that risk. Don't say we didn't warn you!
This fish is peaceful, which means it probably won't attack other fishes. Alas, a lot of peaceful fish do get easily harassed by other, bigger and more aggressive fish. Keep this in mind when mixing different types of fish. Having a lot of hiding places might help in the process.
