queen angelfish

holacanthus ciliaris

Moderate This fish is considered a moderately difficult one. Read well into how to care for this fish and which tank mates it needs, so you can take good care of it. You can't give it enough space, give it a 1500 liter tank to enjoy a healthy and happy fish. Keep your salinity within 1.021-1.025 (at 25°C) and temperature between 23-26°C. The Queen Angelfish has a refined taste, you can make it happy with artemia, big frozen food, clam meat, coral polyps, flakes, krill, lettuce, mysis, nori and zooplankton.

This fish is reefsafe with caution. There is a risk involved in introducing it to your corals. Read about the experiences of other hobbyists and make up your own mind about taking that risk. Don't say we didn't warn you!

We consider the Queen Angelfish to be a semi-aggressive fish. Be careful when introducing it to your less (or more) aggressive fish. It is, however, not a fish that will be the terror of your tank.
