Difficult There are easy fish, tricky fish and then there's this fish: a difficult one. Don't feel like you're that special girl or guy that can just put it in your aquarium. Read up on it! This fish doesn't take pleasure in swimming in smaller aquariums, it needs at least 1250 liter to feel good. Keep your salinity within 1.021-1.025 (at 25°C) and temperature between 23-26°C. The Rock Beauty likes to eat artemia, big frozen food, clam meat, coral polyps, flakes, krill, mysis and nori.
This fish is not reefsafe so, if you introduce the Rock Beauty to your precious corals, he might be quite thankful to that great welcoming feast you just brought him into.
We consider the Rock Beauty to be a semi-aggressive fish. Be careful when introducing it to your less (or more) aggressive fish. It is, however, not a fish that will be the terror of your tank.
